This is just a short post to let our community know the sad news that yesterday morning December 20, 2020, we lost Val Coleman, who died after several days at Fairview Hospital after a fall.
As most of you know, Val was involved with the Arts Center from its beginnings, [...]
Val Coleman was not only a fine poet, writer, speaker, and historian, but also a playwright. In July of 2017 Val Coleman's play "The Stamp Collection" was presented at the Arts Center by The Sandisfield Players, a highlight of the many fine and memorable Players productions.

Donate in any amount, and mention a poem you'd like to hear Ben Luxon read. We'll draw names from a hat and [...]
As we approach Memorial Day 2020, a Memorial Day unlike any other in our country's history, it's good to remember how it originated and what it is meant to memorialize. From History.com:
Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official [...]
What's a community Arts Center to do when its 25th anniversary celebration meets a global pandemic? We have canceled in person events at the Arts Center until at least September, to re-evaluate in August, but in the meantime we'll be offering a rich array of live online and recorded events and [...]
In 2020, we love our advertisers more than ever. These local businesses have supported the Sandisfield Arts Center through thick and - where we seem to be now - thin. They took ads in our beautiful 2020 program brochure - sadly now obsolete, but soon to be posted online (some of you will receive in [...]
