Every year at the end of our season we get the building ready for winter when the pipes will be drained and the heat will be off, except fot an electric heater and humidifier in the piano’s special closet. Storing any perishables, disconnecting the refrigerator, mouse-proofing, etcetera. (Summer home people may know the drill.)
But this year is different, because it includes readying the new-this-year kitchen space for the installation of kitchen cabinetry and appliances, and keeping on what’s needed while our builder finishes the storage shed in back–hopefully before it gets REALLY cold.
The other view of the kitchen:

Everything that was in the kitchen stored safely for the winter in the Gallery. The boxes at left are the plank flooring that will be installed in the kitchen.

This last phase of work is possible thanks to a capital grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council Cultural Facilities Fund, adding to contributions and grants for the first phase completed for our 2025 season.
