The Sandisfield Arts Center Gallery is located on the first floor of the Arts Center and is available to local artists. We generally have shows each month during the season (May through November), beginning with an opening reception where you can meet the artist, view the work, and enjoy light refreshments. After the reception, the Gallery is open during performance dates or by appointment.
Please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in having your work shown at the Arts Center.
To get a real-life sense of our gallery, watch artist J.D. Logan hanging his work for his 2018 show at our gallery (from his Instagram page with permission).

Photography by Peter Hason Artist’s Statement: “My photographs are typically taken from low angles so the perspective is that of looking up, which lends an air of reverence and veneration to the subject matter. As Oscar Wilde said, ‘We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.’ My work in this exhibit focuses on the highly organized and intricate parallel and juxtaposing lines that emerge in the cityscape when the chaotic rhythm of city…Find out more »
Paintings by Mel Feldman Mel Feldman has been painting for about three years. He started with watercolors and then took up acrylics, as he found acrylics are more forgiving, and it is easier to correct the work. He prefers to paint people and uses vintage photographs for inspiration, as these often tell a story. Most important to Mel is the light and the interplay with the placement of the figures. He is also inspired by Vermeer and his use of…Find out more »
Artist Statement: “I am an oil painter and printmaker exploring the psychology and physicality of being human. Color has long been a driving force in my pieces, and my interest in printmaking lies in the spontaneity and unpredictability of the medium. My current work explores what it means for a body to occupy space and how the body…Find out more »

I started making photographs in this park in 2017 and have continued to explore it through all seasons. Primarily landscapes, this series has been an exploration of how the light moves through the trees, how to find compositions in the forest that are compelling, how the river moves through the land.…Find out more »
