“Art, to me, is an anecdote of the spirit.” – Mark Rothko
The act of creation is often a solitary one. Artists immerse themselves in the studio to create pieces that bridge their innermost thoughts and emotions with the broader spectrum of the human experience. “Notes from the Interior” beckons both artist and viewer alike to delve into the depths of their consciousness, unveiling the treasures hidden within. We are reminded that the true essence of art lies not in its physical form, but in its ability to illuminate the intangible aspects of our being. In the quiet moments of introspection, we confront our fears, celebrate our triumphs, and embrace the fullness of our humanity. It is through art that we find solace in times of uncertainty, courage in moments of adversity, and joy in the beauty of everyday existence.
All of the work in this show is made on paper: prints, drawings, and paintings, yet each artist works in a diverse array of styles, forms, and subjects that celebrates the multifaceted nature of human thought.
Collectively, the pieces in “Notes from the Interior” form a tapestry of human experience, inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes.
