Poetry Opens the Doors: The Poetry of Spring

Join us for a poetry reading with music and a reception celebrating the opening of the Arts Center's 2016 season and the beginning of spring. Poets: Hannah Fries, Zack Finch, Emily Pulfer-Terino, Hilde Weisert. Poets will read their own poems as well as classic poems of spring.

The afternoon includes two Sandisfield poets, Hannah Fries, author of the poetry collection Little Terrarium, upcoming from Hedgerow Books later this year, and Hilde Weisert, whose collection The Scheme of Things from David Robert Books was launched at an Arts Center reading in September 2015. Zach Finch is on the faculty of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. His poetry and critical essays have appeared widely. His 2013 chapbook collaboration with painter Enrico Riley, Chiasmus, was published by Fourth & Verse Press, and Ten Ounces, an artist's book, was produced in collaboration with artist Melanie Mowinksi in 2015. Emily Pulfer-Terino’s work has appeared in Tupelo Quarterly, Hunger Mountain, The Southeast Review, Poetry Northwest, Stone Canoe, The Louisville Review, Juked, and other journals and anthologies.
