Introduction to Drawing – Session 1 of 3

In this three-session class series, participants will develop observational skills through the act of drawing. Each session will work from a simple still-life setup. Techniques introduced will include: contour-line drawing with pencil; linear perspective; conveying volume through shading using charcoal, graphite and pencil; combining contour-lines and shading in a single drawing.

Max 10 students, age 16 and up. All materials provided

Sessions in this 3-session series on 6/20, 6/27, 7/11. $75 fee covers the 3-series class.

Michael O’Rourke has been a professional artist for fifty years. He was a professor of digital art for thirty years at Pratt Institute, NYC and is now Emeritus.
