A trip to Italy in the early 1970s prompted Harvey Kimmelman to develop a deep passion to study and learn the traditional methods of drawing and painting as practiced by the great Renaissance artists. When not in Italy, Harvey paints watercolors in his studio in Sheffield. He runs a weekly life-drawing group at the Bushnell-Sage Library in Sheffield. His work is usually exhibited in the Housatonic Valley Art League’s group shows.
