Artist’s Statement
If one believes that there is something innate in
the creation of an artist, then I might say I was always an
artist, although not formally trained.
The use of wool as a natural fiber was accidental, I had a blanket on my lap,
just waiting to be cut into pieces. The fiber and the purely unique characters of the dolls became a representation of an important part of my life.
As I continue to make the dolls from recycled sweaters, I feel I am giving old
souls new life.
